Who?

I see a girl walk towards the door,
She looks like someone I know,
Always looking for something more,
For her life continues outside that door,
Searching for her purpose,
I see her everyday,
Working for her future because that is her way,
Why does she seem so familiar,
Have I met her before,
Everyone around her is looking just at now,
For instant gratification,
For life in the now,
I wish I knew her better,
But in time I am sure I will,
Because indeed this girl is me,
And I look forward still
